Called vibrant, eclectic and authentic, Fort Collins tops “best of” lists year after year thanks to its myriad of cultural opportunities.
Escape the urban bustle at Trail Ridge Road and Horsetooth Mountain Open Space. Venture out of the city with trips to Bellvue (Watson Lake State Wildlife Area & Gateway Natural Area) and Rocky Mountain National Park (Many Parks Curve Overlook, Emerald Lake Trail, &more). There's much more to do: contemplate the waterfront views at Cache La Poudre River, look for all kinds of wild species at Pineridge Natural Area, indulge your thirst for a good beer at New Belgium Brewing Company, and admire the natural beauty at Annual Flower Trial Garden.

To find maps, other places to visit, and tourist information, refer to the Fort Collins trip planner.

In August, plan for daily highs up to 86°F, and evening lows to 56°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 14th (Fri) to allow enough time to travel back home.
