Fort Collins

— 4 nights
Called vibrant, eclectic and authentic, Fort Collins tops “best of” lists year after year thanks to its myriad of cultural opportunities.
Chapel on the Rock and Holzwarth Historic Site are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Visit Shambhala Mountain Center and The 1879 Avery House for their historical value. Change things up with these side-trips from Fort Collins: Ouzel Falls (in Rocky Mountain National Park) and Red Feather Lakes (Deadman Lookout & The Golf Club At Fox Acres). There's still lots to do: see the interesting displays at The Farm at Lee Martinez Park, relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas, indulge your thirst for a good beer at Maxline Brewing, and take a stroll through Jessup Farm Artisan Village.

For ratings, other places to visit, photos, and other tourist information, go to the Fort Collins day trip app.

In July, daily temperatures in Fort Collins can reach 87°F, while at night they dip to 55°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 13th (Mon) early enough to travel back home.
