Fort Collins

— 3 nights
Called vibrant, eclectic and authentic, Fort Collins tops “best of” lists year after year thanks to its myriad of cultural opportunities.
Attractions like Cache La Poudre River and Annual Flower Trial Garden make great kid-friendly stops. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Fort Collins: Rocky Mountain National Park (Chasm Falls, Trail Ridge Road, &more). There's still lots to do: look and learn at Fort Collins Museum of Discovery, hike along Horsetooth Mountain Open Space, take an in-depth tour of Totally 80's Pizza & Museum, and examine the collection at The Farm at Lee Martinez Park.

To find photos, other places to visit, where to stay, and more tourist information, go to the Fort Collins trip planner.

In August, plan for daily highs up to 86°F, and evening lows to 56°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Thu) to allow enough time to travel back home.
